Pineapples.
I’ve always wondered why pineapples are so present in architecture and home decor.
Especially in the south.
I looked it up to satisfy my curiosity and learned that it’s a symbol of hospitality.
It represents warmth, friendship and welcome.
A host who served you a pineapple, it was thought, spared no expense.
Now they’re a tradition.
Now I know!

We always do it ourselves. It’s relatively painless for everyone involved, and a lot less expensive than taking him to the groomers every couple of months. The only downside is that he will always have the puppy cut, long puffiness, or something in between.

For a belated Valentine’s Day celebration, Dan and I treated ourselves to a dinner at the Melting Pot.
It was romantic, delicious, and generally a supreme experience.
