I just purchased some antique fishing buoys, exactly like the ones hanging down in this picture, while we were at the beach this past week. I really like what they add to a room- they’re not obviously nautical unless you know what they are, and they add a bit of natural texture (with the rope wrappings) and light-catching glass to a room. I’m very happy with this purchase. They’re the kind of thing that may change location in my house over the years, but will always mean something to me.
